Y2Kessler: Black Houndstooths

I'll admit I was a little late to the party when I was introduced to the White Stripes. You would think the song that would have introduced me to the band would have been 'Seven Nation Army', or 'Fell in Love With a Girl', right? Nope. 16 year old Kessler was walking around a Target store one day when he sees a really bizzare music video playing in the media section. He decided to watch it until the end to see the  song credits in the lower left hand corner and that's what introduced our young boy to The White Stripes. But enough about me!

This song is the first track of their 2005 album "Get Behind Me Satan", and according to Jack White, it's the song that saved the album! (Personally I think it was 'My Doorbell') The music video is bizarre! You definitely see influences of Tool and Nine Inch Nails in the cinematography. This would open the door to not only exposing The White Stripes to me, but my interest in really weird music videos.  Jack White also admitted in an interview that the song has no connection with his breakup with Renee Zellweger
