Y2Kessler: I'm a New Foo Rising!

Have you ever felt burnt out in your life? Just tired of doing the same thing every day? It happens to everyone, and in 2002, it happened to Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. After experiencing difficulty recording their album One by One, Dave decided it was time to take a break. He took a 3 month hiatus in which he drummed for Josh Homme's band, Queens of the Stone Age! You can hear him drumming on QOTSA's  2002 album Songs for the Deaf!  During those three months, Dave didn't feel himself without his band the Foo Fighters, and it's this feeling that motivated Dave to write Times Like These! To express how poorly he felt in the few months he was gone from the band.  Just goes to show that even in your lowest moment, inspiration can hit at any time!
