Making a Murderer: Manitowoc County Local Speaks on Avery Family

Get ready for the international conversation to resume. Netflix will make the ten episodes of Making a Murderer - Part 2 available on October 19th, 2018.

As another 10 episodes of the Making a Murderer docuseries are in queue for an October 19th release, Wisconsin locals have begun commenting on the John Muir Show based in Green Bay. You'll have to decide guilt, misconduct or innocence for yourself, but we'll begin sharing public comments on all sides of the discussion made on the show over the coming weeks.

This caller asked to remain anonymous. "George" is not his real name, but he really is from Francis Creek, Wisconsin, less than 10 miles from Avery's Auto Salvage. "I just wish they'd put this to rest. I thought this was completely over with," said "George". He added this comment about the Avery family, "You've got to understand this entire family that's there. They're all related. They're going to stand up. It's like a clan. You say anything against them, or you go against them. You know, you get 20, 30, 40 against you."

"Sure makes it look like a set up"

Another Manitowoc County caller to the show felt Brandon Dassey was set up. Again, the caller asked to remain anonymous.

"They kind of led him into it when they said, you know you're never going to be able to have kids, you're never going to be able to get married or anything like that if you don't tell us the truth. It just looked way to fishy to me, way too much like a set up."
