STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) -- New charges are being brought forward in the case of a stabbing incident in Stevens Point over the weekend.

One of the victims of Joseph Stalnaker's weekend stabbings will be charged for providing false information to police. Kyle Holderman told officers he was stabbed by Stalnaker outside of Polito's Pizza after he had lacerated Kurtis Johnson's neck inside. Instead, Holderman initiated a fight with Stalnaker when he cut in line to use the restroom at the restaurant.

During the fight, Johnson tried to separate the two where he received a significant laceration to the neck from an edged weapon. Holderman was also stabbed in the arm during this confrontation but didn't notice the injury until after the incident.

Holderman provided false information as he felt responsible for Johnson's life-threatening injury as they were roommates. Holderman will be charged with obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
