MADISON, WI (WSAU) -- Incumbent Governor Scott Walker and Democratic challenger Tony Evers participated in a Wisconsin Broadcaster's Association debate in Madison on Friday.

The hour-long event featured a wide range of topics from the legalization of marijuana in one form or another to agricultural issues and taxes.

Both candidates fielded questions from television personalities Jessica Arp, Emilee Fannon, and Leigh Mills along with radio broadcaster Lupita Montoto.

Both candidates were also offered two minutes for closing statements, in which Walker emphasized his record over the last eight years as Governor and recent success for businesses statewide to go with the recent run of record low unemployment. Evers talked about bringing people together from all walks of life to move the state forward in areas like healthcare, education, and in fixing the state's network of roads and bridges. Evers also accused Walker of being a career politician who has put the interests of his party ahead of those of Wisconsin.

Walker once again emphasized that if he wins re-election in November, it will be his last four-year term as Governor of the state.
