MERRILL, WI (WSAU) -- An Almond man was in Lincoln County court on Monday to enter a plea on charges stemming from a high-speed chase in early October.
Ralph J Noonan, 44, pled not guilty to several counts from the incident which occurred on October 11th which began in Lincoln County but ended just across the Oneida County border when Noonan is accused of ramming a squad car in the Town of Cassian. It wasn't until a second squad car struck him that his vehicle was disabled and he was arrested.
The list of charges against him includes first degree recklessly endangering safety, fleeing an officer, possession of marijuana and six counts of bail jumping.
The incident began when officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop after running Noonan's plates and learning he had outstanding warrants against him. One Deputy sustained minor injuries in the incident, and Noonan himself was also treated and released for minor injuries.
Noonan's attorney has reportedly asked for a speedy trial. He'll be back in court on November 8th for a scheduling update.
