WAUSAU, WI (WAOW-WSAU) A car and a snowplow collided during the morning of a major winter storm in Wausau.
It happened on Thomas Street, according to a WAOW-TV reporter who was on the scene. An SUV hit the front blade of the plow and was heavily damaged. The driver was extracted from the wreckage was taken from the scene by ambulance. Their condition is not known.
The crash happened during a period of poor visibility and slippery driving conditions.
Thomas Street was blocked near Thomas and McCleary streets west of the bridge while the wreckage was cleared.
