90s at 9 The Black Crowes Sue Gretchen Wilson

The Black Crowes sued Gretchen Wilson claiming copyright infringement.

"Jealous Again" was the debut single from The Black Crowes 1990 debut album Shake Your Money Maker. It made it to the 75th position on the Billboard Hot 100 and #5 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
In 2008, The Black Crowes filed a lawsuit against country singer Gretchen Wilson claiming copyright infringment over her song "Work Hard, Play Harder." Included in the lawsuit were her label, her publisher and TNT, who used her song in promotional commercials. Instead of fighting it and delaying the release of her album she settled the suit. "Work Hard, Play Harder" was included on her album I Got Your Country Right Here.  It was the first album she released on her self-owned label, Redneck Records.
