Terry's 3-some @ 3 - Much Like A Tasty Pastry...

Every weekday at 3pm, I play 3 songs in a row by a single band, or based on a single theme.

...these guys are Danish.

Now that the bad puns are done, here's 3 from Volbeat.

SONG 1:  "Heaven Nor Hell"

A straight-ahead rocker with bitchin' harmonica work.  Said harmonica work is provided by Henrick Hall of Love Shop.  Their sound goes to some pretty interesting places.   Bit of 80's new wave going on there .

SONG 2:  "The Devil's Bleeding Crown"

The first song released from "Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie", Volbeat adds a heaping helping of biblical apocalypse to the party.  This musical battle between the supernatural forces of good & evil took Volbeat to #1 on the rock charts.

SONG 3:  "16 Dollars"

" A Warrior's Call " was the first Volbeat song I ever heard.

"16 Dollars" was the one that completely sold me on the band.

A straight up rockabilly song complete with slap bass and "Load"-era Metallica guitar tuning, NO ONE was making music like this at the time.

Come to think of it, Volbeat is still the only band pulling off this sound, and kicking ass the whole way.
