CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI (WSAU-WAOW) -- Micon Cinemas in Chippewa Falls held a fundraising event for the victims of a deadly hit-and-run accident in November.
The theater held a special screening of the 1989 film Troop Beverly Hills. Admission to the show was free, but the theater had a free will donation box set up with all the funds going to the victims of the incident.
WAOW TV reports the theater committed to matching donations up to $1,000 and gave a portion of coneccsions sales to the victims.
