A new biography about the late Chris Cornell is in the works. It's titled Total F@&king Godhead , and is due out in 2020.
The book will be written by music journalist Corbin Reiff , who's written for publications including Rolling Stone and Billboard . He's also the author of the 2017 book Lighters in the Sky , which ranks the "all-time greatest concerts" between 1960 and 2016.
"I've spent the last year conducting interviews and doing research and can't even begin to describe how excited I am to kick the tires on this," Reiff says of the Cornell bio.
A tribute to concert to Cornell, who died May 2017, will be held January 16 in Los Angeles. Metallica and Foo Fighters will perform, as will members of Cornell's bands Soundgarden , Audioslave and Temple of the Dog .
