Weezer has joined the lineup for the long-running special's West Coast celebration, hosted in Hollywood by R&B star Ciara . The list of performers also includes Foster the People , Halsey , The Chainsmokers , Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello , among others.
While Rivers Cuomo and company are partying on the West Coast, Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy will be holding things down in New York City's Times Square. The Times Square performers have yet to be announced.
All the fun gets underway December 31 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
Weezer had a big 2018 thanks to their viral cover of the Toto classic "Africa." They'll release the The Black Album , the latest installment of the band's series of color-themed, self-titled records, on March 1.
