MERRILL, WI (WSAU) -- A man accused of fleeing officers during a high-speed chase in Lincoln County then damaging two squad cars will have a jury trial.
Ralph Noonan of Almond was in Lincoln County court on Thursday where a judge scheduled a one-day jury trial for January 15th, 2019, according to online court records.
He faces a dozen charges which include first-degree recklessly endangering safety, fleeing an officer, Possession of THC, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The list also includes six counts of bail jumping.
The 44-year-old man is accused of leading officers on a high-speed chase from Lincoln County to Oneida county on October 11th. The incident began after an officer ran his license plate and discovered he was wanted on multiple felony warrants.
The chase reached speeds of 100 MPH. Noonan stopped briefly as they crossed into Oneida County, then rammed a squad car as he was turning around to flee again. He was later struck by a second squad car, which disabled his vehicle.
One deputy was injured in the incident. Noonan was also injured but was treated and released before he was taken into custody.
Noonan will return to court on November 27th for a status conference before the trial. He entered a not guilty plea to all charges in late October.
