RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) -- A crash in Oneida County on Friday evening killed one and injured one near Rhinelander.
At 10:15 on November 9th, 2018 a Pontiac Bonneville lost control on USH8 at Shady Rest Rd, crossing the center line, and hit a semi-tractor trailer going eastbound head-on.
The driver of the Pontiac, a 52-year-old woman from Merrill suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the semi, a 40 year-old-man from Rhinelander suffered minor injuries that were treated at the scene.
Names are not being released at this time until family has been notified.
USH 8 was closed for over nine hours that evening due to the investigation but has been open since 7:30 AM on Saturday morning.
