WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -- Wausau Police have released the names of those involved in a deadly car versus pedestrian accident last Wednesday.
Deceased was 92-year-old Neil Olson, who police say stepped into moderate to heavy traffic near the intersection of North 6th Street and Park Avenue. He was struck by a vehicle driven by Dean Dietrich of Wausau.
Olson was transported to Aspirus Wausau Hospital where he later died.
According to police Dietrich has been cooperative through the week-long investigation and was not violating any traffic laws. Speed is also not believed to be a factor in the incident.
No further details were released.
