WASHINGTON (MetroSource-WSAU) U.S. Senator Ron Johnson is saying Dr. Christine Blasey Ford may be experiencing false memories. Johnson made the comment in a video taken by a filmmaker at Mitchell International Airport Friday afternoon.

On the video Johnson says: “Read about false memories. Read about people who have actually confessed to crimes and then later proven totally innocent, OK?" Johnson also said, “nobody knows what happened 36 years ago.” Johnson said there is no corroborating evidence, and said that Ford is being used by Democrats who are trying to manipulate the confirmation process.

Johnson also said he would be voting to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to go to the Supreme Court. Johnson described him as, “good, decent person" and a "great judge."

Ford testified Thurday before the Senate Judiciary Committee about her alleged assault years ago by Kavanaugh. She told senators that she is “100-percent” certain that Kavanaugh was her attacker. Kavanaugh has strenuously denied the accusations.
