Brewers Beat Tigers, Keep Pace With Cubs

MILWAUKEE, Wi (MetroSource-WSAU)  Ryan Braun hit the go-ahead solo home run in the eighth inning to lift the Brewers past the Tigers 6-5 in Milwaukee. 

Braun also hit a solo shot in the first has 20 homers on the season.  Christian Yelich hit a two run homer for the Brewers as they won their fifth straight. 

Joakim Soria earned the win and Jeremy Jeffress locked down the save.  Milwaukee remains one-game behind the Cubs for first in the NL Central. 

Dawel Lugo hit his first Major League home run for Detroit and Victor Alcantara was charged with the loss.  The Tigers have dropped four-of-five. 

The two teams sqaure off again tonight...pre game at 5:35 on WSAU.
