GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - US Senate Candidate Leah Vukmir is getting support from both Madison and the White House.

Following her first debate with Senator Tammy Baldwin, candidate Leah Vukmir was in Green Bay Wednesday and received strong endorsements.

Congressman Mike Gallagher praised her for her honesty and lack of fear.

"She demonstrated earlier this week in a debate that she won resoundingly, that she is unafraid to speak the truth."

Gallagher says she has what it takes to defeat Senator Tammy Baldwin.

"It is going to take someone who can combine that Wisconsin grit with that Wisconsin common sense and a little bit of that Wisconsin nice all together to be successful."

Vice President Mike Pence says the support for Vukmir also comes from Washington, including the President.

"I want to be able to say I for Leah Vukmit before she was cool. She has our full and total support.

Vukmir says right now the most important message to get out is for everyone to vote.

"We have a few weeks left but I am confident that you are going to realize on November 6th that you have to get out and protect every single person who is on that Republican ticket, and I know you can do it because you did it before.

The Vice President spared no words calling out Vukmir's opponent Senator Tammy Baldwin, calling her lack of support for Justice Brett Kavanaugh, terrible.
