Slipknot announces 2019 European tour

Slipknot 's 2019 itinerary is taking shape.

The masked metallers have announced a European tour kicking off in June, and making stops in the Germany, Italy, Poland, France and Spain, among others. Visit Slipknot1.com for the full list of dates and ticket info.

The tour also includes a headlining set at the U.K.'s Download Festival, scheduled for June 14-16 in Donington Park. The lineup also includes Def Leppard performing their album Hysteria in full, as well as Tool , Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators , Rob Zombie and Whitesnake . Slipknot is expected to release a new album in 2019, the follow-up to 2014's .5: The Gray Chapter . Speaking with Metal Hammer , frontman Corey Taylor said the new material includes the "heaviest" song the band has ever written.

In addition to the European dates, Slipknot will play a big home state show when they headline the Iowa State Fair in August.
