STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) -- A popular fast food restaurant is adding another location in Stevens Point.
The Stevens Point Journal is reporting that a second Burger King location will be opening on July 17th on Scholfield Avenue in Point. The new location is set to open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Director of construction Dieter Maiwald says the restaurant will hold 64 seats along with an outdoor patio of 12 to 15 seats. The space previously held several diners over time. That included restaurants like Country Kitchen, Four Star Family Restaurant, Taste of Tuscany, and Natalie's Family Restuarant.
The second Burger King location was approved by the city council back in December. The first Burger King location opened on U.S. 10 East in 2018. Before that location, a Burger King existed at 1616 Acadamey Ave. until 2003.
