This is how I use hand sanitizer. Put a dollop in one hand and then I rub my hands together for a few seconds. Simple, right? Actually this is wrong and I just found this out today. To kill the bacteria on your hands you need to rub them for 15 seconds until they are dry. The World Health Organization says to rub them together for 20 to 30 seconds. I will definitely be doing this every time now!!
