ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) - President Donald Trump will be making a stop in Ashwaubenon at the end of the month.

The Trump Re-election campaign released information Tuesday that the event will be held April 27 at the Resch Center, the same day as the annual White House Correspondents' dinner.

The President has decided to skip the annual event in Washington, saying he would rather hold a positive rally.

Registrations for the event will be limited to two tickets per mobile number. Tickets are on a first come, first serve basis. Those interested in attending can register at the Trump campaign website.

The event will start at 7:00 PM and the doors will open at 4:00 PM.

The Ashwaubenon event comes nearly six months to the day after POTUS 45's last stop in Wisconsin, which was on October 24th at the Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee. There the President rallied support for Republican candidates Sean Duffy, Leah Vukmir, and Scott Walker ahead of the November mid-term election.

Last week Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders held a rally in Madison, vowing to flip states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania blue after Trump carried them on his way to victory in 2016.
