BARRON, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) Lawyers for the man accused of kidnapping Jayme Closs and killing her parents aren't saying how they plan to approach the case. Charles Glynn and Richard Jones spoke with reporters Sunday night in Barron. They say their client, 21-year-old Jake Patterson, is feeling what most would feel if they were facing murder and kidnapping charges.

As for the case, the two lawyers say they're not going to talk about their strategy because it's a bit too early to decide how to take the case to trial. Glynn and Jones say it will be difficult for their client to get a fair trail in northern Wisconsin.

Patterson is due in court Monday at 3:30 PM. His lawyers are requesting that he appear in person instead of via video from the county jail; the court has more recently announced that he will appear via video-link. Patterson will be charged with two counts of first degree homicide for the shooting deaths of Jayme’s parents and one count of kidnapping. A motive in the case hasn’t been revealed. Police say Patterson was unknown to them until last Thursday when Jayme escaped from a home in Gordon and led police to her captor.

New photographs of the home where Jayme was kept for 88 have also become public. The house, about 200-feet back from a road, has an unfinished ceiling and mismatched furniture. The yard was littered with discarded food and alcohol containers and rusted-out cars. The property had been owned by Patterson’s father. It was signed over to Superior Choice Credit Union of Superior on October 23, eight days after Jayme’s abduction.
