Greta Van Fleet leads rock nominees for 61st annual Grammys

Greta Van Fleet 's breakout year continues with a leading four nominations among rock artists for the 61st annual Grammy Awards, airing live from Los Angeles on CBS Sunday, February 10.

The rising rockers earned nods for Best New Artist, Best Rock Performance for "Highway Tune," Best Rock Song for "Black Smoke Rising," and Best Rock Album for the double EP, From the Fires .

The Best Rock Performance nominees also include the late Chris Cornell 's "When Bad Does Good," Arctic Monkeys ' "Four Out of Five," The Fever 333 's "Made An America" and Halestorm 's "Uncomfortable." Best Rock Song features Twenty One Pilots ' "Jumpsuit," Bring Me the Horizon 's "Mantra," St. Vincent 's "Masseduction," and Ghost 's "Rats."

Competing for the Best Rock Album prize are Ghost's Prequelle , Alice in Chains ' Rainier Fog , Fall Out Boy 's M A N I A and Weezer 's Pacific Daydream .

As for rock categories Greta Van Fleet wasn't nominated in, the Best Alternative Music album nominees are Arctic Monkeys' Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino , St. Vincent's Masseduction , Beck 's Colors , Bjork 's Utopia and David Byrne 's American Utopia , while the Best Metal Performance nominees are Between the Buried and Me 's "Condemned to the Gallows," Deafheaven 's "Honeycomb," High on Fire 's "Electric Messiah," Trivium 's "Betrayer" and Underoath 's "On My Teeth."

Other rock nominees include Beck's "Colors" for Best Pop Solo Performance, Alice Cooper for Best Musical Theater Album as part of the cast for Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert , Eric Clapton 's documentary Life in 12 Bars for Best Music film, and Sting for Best Reggae Album for his 44/876 collaboration with Shaggy .
