WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -- A Wausau man arrested in connection with a domestic incident in mid-August has entered a not guilty plea to one count of disorderly conduct.

Freddie P Henderson was in Marathon County court early Monday morning to face the count, which carries three modifiers of domestic abuse repeater along with it.

The charges stem from an incident on August 12th when Henderson broke into a house in downtown Wausau occupied by his former wife, her children, and her father. The woman woke up to find Henderson standing over her displaying a handgun.

She was able to escape the home and call for help from a neighbors house. When Police arrived they called out to Henderson through a loudspeaker but later found he had already left the home.

The incident prompted a day-long manhunt for Henderson, who was later arrested at an apartment complex on Stewart Avenue.

A judge then found probable cause and declared Henderson bound over for trial. Further court action has not been scheduled. Henderson has requested a speedy trial.
