Lincoln County inmate attacks correction officer

MERRILL, WI (WSAU) -- A Gleason man jailed in Lincoln County will face charges for beating a corrections officer after an incident last Monday.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's office says two officers were performing a welfare check on the man when he began to kick one of them in the head.

Recommended charges against the inmate include battery by a prisoner, disorderly conduct, two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping and one count of felony bail jumping.

The unidentified officer treated and released from a local hospital after the incident.

Online court records indicate 34-year-old Jimmy Bosinske was charged last Thursday with one count of battery by a prisoner and one count of disorderly conduct. He'll return to court on November 29th.
