MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) -- The Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association (WADA) has named Marshfield's Nathan Delany as Athletic Director of the Year for District Two, which serves the northeast portion of the state.

That's according to Marshfield School District Superintendent Dr. Ryan Christianson who said, "I appreciate Nathan's leadership that is not only very, very effective and critical and viable here in the district, but he's also a leader statewide.  And again I'd just like to take the opportunity to recognize his efforts."

Christianson says the Marshfield coach was also elected incoming V.P., and eventual president, of WADA.  "This is a four year officer commitment to the Wisconsin Athletic Director's Association, which transitions into serving as President of that association."

Delany was also recognized for his role in the campaign to raise $11.2 million dollars for a comprehensive upgrade to athletic facilities around the Marshfield School District.
