Halestorm is starting to think about putting together the next entry in the band's ReAniMate covers EP series.

"We've been talking about it -- not necessarily too seriously, but we've been talking about it 'cause it's been brought up with fans and stuff," vocalist Lzzy Hale tells Billboard . "People are starting to [discuss it] because of our past timeline. This is around the time everyone's gonna start thinking about it. Our fans are starting to give us requests, so we're compiling a list."

Halestorm has released three ReAniMate EPs since 2011. The most recent collection, which arrived in January 2017, features covers of Soundgarden , Twenty One Pilots and Metallica , among others.

Speaking with Billboard , Hale says the EPs have moved on from being just a fun diversion, and instead have started to shape the direction of Halestorm's sound going forward.

""You get to kind of step outside yourself for a second," Hale explains. "You're trying to do justice to some of your favorite songs and maybe reach a little bit outside of your comfort zone."

"It's become a very valuable tool for really just laying the groundwork of what we're gonna do on the next record," she adds. "So I'm sure we will [do another one], I'm just not sure when."

Halestorm is currently on tour behind the band's latest album, Vicious , which came out earlier this year.
