WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -- Time is running out for public comment on a new City of Wausau policy.
On Monday afternoon, the City of Wausau sent out a press release containing a PDF of the city's new social media policy. The press release details that members of the public can comment on the policy until noon today.
The policy establishes guidelines for the city's use of social media sites to convey information to the public about the City's mission, meetings, activities, and current issues. It also outlines what city employees can do on social media when posting to city accounts. The 5-page policy details things like definitions, ownership rules, general practices, and user responsibilities.
