MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) -- So you're raking all those leaves, and ready to toss all those potted plants out for the year?  Well in Marshfield, Street Superintendent Dean Schiller says you're in luck.  It's curbside pick-up of autumn yard waste items all week long, with another pick-up scheduled for early November.

According to Schiller, "Yard waste and leaf pickup will be October 22nd through October 26th, and November 5th through the 9th.  That's yard waste and leaf pick-up."

This week's special collection does not include branch and brush pick-up, and no plastic sacks can be used Schiller said.  "They do need to be out curbside by 6 a.m. on the day of your garbage pick-up.  They must be in the brown (leaf) bags or reusable containers.  No plastic bags will be picked up."

And Schiller reminds residents, Marshfield's yard waste disposal site is always open.  "The compost site is open 24/7, 365 days a year on Hume Avenue.  So, if you like, you can always take your material out that way."
