MADISON, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) A Wisconsin man accused of asking a Monroe County teen to record a rape will remain in jail. A magistrate judge in U.S. District Court in Madison ruled Tuesday that there is reason to believe Bryan Rogers, 31, committed a crime.

He's charged with sexual exploitation for allegedly telling the 14-year-old girl to record her adoptive father sexually assaulting her. A criminal complaint says Rogers told the girl the reporting could be used as “leverage” against Randall Pruitt, who was arrested last month in Tennessee.

Rogers drove to Tennessee and was sheltering the girl in Wisconsin. The girl stayed at a home in Madison owned by Rogers’ mother. She’d also sent a letter and a copy of the video she made to the FBI field office in St. Louis. The girl disappeared on January 14 and was located on January 31. She met Rogers through online gaming.

Rogers will be arraigned next Thursday, after his lawyers had filed for his release.
