WESTON, WI (WSAU) -- A Weston man has been charged for trying to solicit sex from an underage girl.
Jason Davis, age 24, is facing felony charges of child enticement and using a computer to facilitate a sex crime according to online court records. The charges are for an instance where he planned to meet up with who he thought was a 15-year-old girl for sex.
Authorities in Marathon County say Davis began chatting with the girl through Facebook. The girl was actually an undercover officer. The two planned to meet at her apartment. Which was where Davis was met by police.
Davis faces up to 65 years in prison for the charges. He is bond has been set at $5,000 with conditions to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18 unless supervised by someone over the age of 25. He also cannot use internet capable devices except a computer at the Job Center to search for jobs.
Davis will return to court for a pretrial conference on February 20th.
