Health officials searching for dog that bit Wausau girl

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -- Marathon County Health Officials are trying to track down a dog that bit a 6-year-old girl over the weekend to check on its rabies vaccination status.

It happened on Saturday, December 1st as the girl was playing in the backyard of her home in the 1300 block of Grand Avenue in Wausau. The dog approached her and bit her at around 2:45 PM.

The dog was described as a grey pitbull with white paws and is believed to be "overweight."
