90s at 9 'Breathe'

"Breathe" was a huge hit in many countries across the world.

"Breathe" was released by English band The Prodigy. The song was huge in the UK scoring the band a second consecutive #1 in 1996. It wasn't quite as popular in the U.S. as it was around the world, but it did manage to get to #18 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart.
The whiplashing sword sound is a sample of Wu-Tang Clan's "Da Mystery of Chessboxin" from 1993.
The "Breathe" video won the 1997 MTV Europe Music Award for Best Video.
