TOWN OF SKANAWAN, WI (WSAU) -- A Tomahawk man will be in Lincoln County court Monday to face possible charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

The Sheriff's office said the incident started as a routine traffic stop for speeding as the man was driving on Highway 51 near County Road S. When the driver found out a K9 unit was headed to the scene, he admitted to officers that he was in possession of the drug.

A search of the vehicle then turned up one pound of marijuana.

The man's name was not immediately released, pending felony charges against him.

A bond hearing is set for this afternoon.
