MOSINEE, WI (WSAU) -- The Mosinee School District has named their interim superintendent for the 2018-2019 school year.
John Burnett will serve as the acting superintendent of the Mosinee School District until the end of June 2019. In a special board of education meeting on Monday night the Mosinee School Board unanimously voted to approve Burnett's contract as the interim superintendent.
Brent Zimmerman, the former acting superintendent for the district and current business manager describes Burnett's background as a former superintendent. "John is a retired superintendent from Onalaska. And he's been an interim superintendent in a few other districts in the state since his retirement."
Burnett begins at Mosinee this week. He last served as the interim superintendent for the Westby School District in Southwest Wisconsin in 2017.
