BARRON, WI (WSAU) -- Residents in Barron County remain hopeful that 13-year-old Jayme Closs will be returned home safely after she was abducted from her home back in October.

Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald once again took to Facebook this week, posting a picture of a Christmas Tree decorated in Jayme's honor in the Barron County Justice Center.

The Tree features blue ornaments that spell out "JAYME" along with blue trimming and a blue and green ribbon at the top.

Despite the continued hope and continual Amber Alert messages for Jayme posted on highway signs, grocery store lottery terminals, and the Wisconsin 511 Travel Information website, Fitzgerald does admit that it's getting harder to find clues.

USA Today Wisconsin reports that around 25-30 people are working the case on a daily basis. The number of tips called in about Jayme has dropped off to less than 25 a day, but they still continue to scour social media and phone records for a break.

Fitzgerald says it doesn't appear that drugs were involved, and based on phone records there's no evidence that Jayme had a boyfriend who could be involved. Additionally, he says it's tough to say if the incident was random or targeted.

The FBI has put out another call for tips in the investigation, which could bring someone a $50,000 cash reward if it leads to Jayme's safe return. Anyone with information is asked to call 855-744-3879 or email [email protected].
